Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul

Mark your calendar for Friday, November 15. Mike Tyson is coming out of retirement for a professional boxing match against Jake “The Problem Child” Paul. It’s all going down at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and promises to be as entertaining as it is controversial.

BOXING BETTING

The live stream starts at 8 PM ET and includes three title fights: Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano (Women’s Junior Welterweight Championship), Mario Barrios vs Abel Ramos (WBC Welterweight title) and Shadasia Green vs Melinda Watpool (WBO Women’s Super Middleweight title).

Boxing betting is buzzing in our sportsbook. The market is split between those backing the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world vs fans of the YouTube personality-turned boxer with a penchant for entertainment. We have the fight odds, as well as a suite of fun boxing specials that will elevate the experience.

Match Outcome

Jake Paul: -275
Mike Tyson: +220

Jake Paul has proven that he’s more than just a YouTube personality. He went pro in January 2020, winning his debut match against Ali Eson Gib. With five of his first eight matches being against debut boxers, he certainly had a soft career start that helped him build a nice 7-1 record. Since then, though, he’s faced—and beat—Andre August, Ryan Bourland and most recently, Michael Perry.

In the months leading up to his bout against Tyson, Paul released a sparring clip where he knocks down undefeated heavyweight boxer DeAndre Savage. Paul has been beat in the ring just once, at the hands of British boxer Tyson Fury’s brother, Tommy Fury.

The 58-year-old Boxing Hall of Famer, Tyson has amassed a 50-6 record throughout his formidable 40-year career. By the end, his zest for the sport was gone, and he lost three of four bouts. Tyson retired, but took part in exhibition bouts, including an entertaining one vs Roy Jones in 2020. On that same card was a boxing bout between Jake Paul and basketball player Nate Robinson.

Jake Paul to Call Out _____ by the End of Fight Night

Floyd Mayweather: +500
Conor McGregor: +700
KSI: +500

Jake Paul loves to call out prospective opponents during his boxing victory speeches. After beating Michael Perry in July, he called out Mike Tyson and UFC light heavyweight champion Alex “Poatan” Pereira. After beating Tyron Woodley in 2022, he called out UFC fighters Kamara Usman, Nate Diaz, Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor in his post-fight interview, insisting he’d “embarrass them too.”

If Paul wins on the 15th, there’s a good chance he’ll make another callout; bet on who the prospective target for a tasty payout on the Boxing Specials page. The betting options include Floyd Mayweather, who his brother, Logan Paul fought in an exhibition match at the Hard Rock Stadium in June 2021. During a press conference for the event, Mayweather and Jake Paul got into an altercation.

The last name on the callout list is KSI, a social media personality-turned boxer who Logan Paul faced in the ring at Staples Center in 2019.

Logan Paul to Storm the Ring During the Fight: +2000

When the Paul brothers get wound up, chaos erupts. When Jake Paul faced off against UFC star Nate Diaz, his brother was ringside. Jake beat Diaz via unanimous decision, and in the ensuing moments, a fight broke out amongst fans that centred around Logan. A chair was lifted overhead just as security came in to break it up.

With +2000 odds, this bet is chock-full of value and worth taking a flier on. It’ll be settled as per Bleacher Report within three days of the fight.

Biting Specials

Jake Paul to Bite Mike Tyson During the Fight: +1600
Mike Tyson to Bite Jake Paul During the Fight: +900

Even if people don’t know anything about boxing, they know that Tyson got in trouble for biting in the ‘90s. In a rematch against Evander Holyfield, Tyson bit a chunk off his opponent’s ear. He was disqualified and lost his boxing license.

In a marketing clip for the Tyson-Paul bout, Paul re-enacts Tyson’s “Bite Fight” amidst clips from the original event. Paul spits out a bloodied ear as he says “And not only do I have the honour of fighting one of the two most famous boxers to ever live, it’s also happening live on Netflix.” With +900 odds, there’s more expectation around Tyson biting than Paul (+1600).

Jake Paul to Walk out with a Live Tiger in the Stadium: +3000

Jake Paul is known for his showmanship; his ring walks are an extension of his social media persona and definitely keep people guessing. At the Mike Perry fight, he came out dressed as a Gladiator, carried in a chariot by his crew. He’s also had a giant Transformer robot called “The Problem Bot” trail him when he walked to the ring to meet Nate Robinson.

With the ring walks getting more and more elaborate, we can only guess at what he’ll do for the Mike Tyson event. He has posted pics and videos of a tiger—sometimes stuffed and sometimes real—on his various platforms. If you think there’s any chance of him incorporating a tiger into his Mike Tyson walk-out, put down a bet for a chance to get a massive payout.
