Take the Bank Online Slot Review

We’ve added another slot to the roster—and this one takes cinematic gaming up a notch. Take the Bank is a highly interactive and engaging slot game that follows a group of robbers as they pull off a bank heist. The game is organized into 10-round progressive sets where robbers stick bombs onto the reels. At the end of every 10-spin countdown, the bombs are detonated simultaneously, allowing you to see the vaults explode and money pour out.

PLAY TAKE THE BANK

This 5-reel, 4-row slot game is ideal for people who like to immerse themselves into a storyline that can potentially pay big bucks. It’s easy to get swept away in the non-stop action as the robbers in the game go head-to-head with the police. If you enjoy movies like The Bank Job (2008) and Inside Man (2006), you’ll definitely want to put this slot game at the top of your must-play list.

While any slot game can be played without any knowledge of the specs or game features, it does help to have an idea of what to expect before diving in—especially with more complex games like Take The Bank. We’ve compiled this Take The Bank slot review to help you hit the ground running when countdown begins. Learn about the design and format, including the game’s paylines and volatility level, bonus features, and the best way to deposit funds into your Bodog account to access the game with a padded bankroll. Feel free to test it out via Practice Play first, but we’re confident that you’ll enjoy this game as much as we did.

Gameplay & Design

Take The Bank is set under the bright lights of a big city at night. Skyscrapers and a bright full moon fill the backdrop, and an unsuspecting bank can be seen just left of the reels. The music is light and upbeat, building intrigue as you spin through the bank heist-inspired game icons.

You’ll find three classes of game symbols in Take The Bank: high-value symbols, mid-value symbols, and standard symbols. The one and only high-value symbol is a diamond, which pays three times as much as the next item on the paytable: the gold bars. The wads of cash are the second mid-tier symbol, followed by a vault door, a bomb, and a crowbar. The standard game symbols are royals 9 through A.

The icons spin around five reels, over four rows, meaning there are 20 that land with every spin. All of these symbols need a minimum of three matches to pay according to the paytable, and they must line up on any of the game’s 75 paylines, which start on Reel No. 1 and progress to the right. The paytable in the game menu adjusts automatically to reflect the current bet, which can range from $0.20 to $260.

In the casino gaming world, volatility is the tendency for a slot game to tilt more towards higher payouts or more frequent payouts. In Take The Bank, the volatility level is medium, which provides a nice balance between the two opposite sides. Having 75 paylines means there will be more frequent wins that are proportionate in size.

Of course, the volatility doesn’t impact the returns. The game’s Return to Player (RTP) rate is 96.10%, so you can expect to win just over $0.96 for every dollar bet over the long run. This is a theoretical number, but the longer you play, the more it shakes out.

Key Features

The key features in Take The Bank are more complex than your average slot game. Take heed.

Wilds

Robbers are technically wild, but there is a delay. When they land on the reels, they place a wild bomb on their spot. Eventually the bombs explode and turn the icons beneath them into wilds. Wilds boost wins by substituting for other game symbols to complete winning lines. If you land five wilds in a row on a payline, they take the form of the diamond symbol—the most lucrative symbol in the game.

Heist Spins

This fun progression feature will get you excited to see robbers land on the reels, even if you favour the cops. Every robber that lands places a bomb at his landing spot. There’s a countdown by the reels that starts at 10 and counts down to 0 along with every spin; every time it reaches 0, all of the bombs that are fixated onto the reels explode simultaneously and turn the icons underneath into wilds—and it’s quite the spectacle.

Bonus Symbols

Listen up for sirens because the police cars serve as bonus symbols. Landing three of them triggers a round of free spins. They’re restricted to Reels No. 2, 3 and 4.

Double Up Feature

Anyone who likes the idea of instantly doubling a payout will want to consider this game’s Double Up feature. Every time you nab a payout, you can select the highlighted “2X” button and make a critical choice: do you want to gamble your entire payout, or just half of it? You’re betting on a coin flip, so there’s a 50-50 chance of getting it right. Bet heads or tails and cross your fingers the correct side lands.

If it does, lucky you—you’re a winner. You can “Collect” your winnings and head back to the reels, or play again. An unlucky result means you lose the money you risked and head back the reels. You’ll have to decide if the risk is worth the reward.

Buy Feature

If you’re feeling impatient and want to play the game’s free spins mode immediately, you can buy your way in through the shopping cart symbol, which is the Buy feature. Three options will appear, offering you a choice; do you want:

• 15 rounds with five wild bombs
• 15 rounds with seven wild bombs
• 15 rounds with ten wild bombs

More on the wild bombs in the next section.

Bonus Rounds

Sticky Wilds Free Spins

Landing three bonus symbols (police cars) gets you to the game’s Sticky Wilds Free Spins session. Every free spins session gets a “Wanted Rating” slapped on it right at the start. There can be one, two or three stars on the rating; each dictates the number of wild bombs added per spin. The number of free spins in the session (15 rounds) doesn’t change.

The pre-determined number of wild bombs (5, 7 or 10) is immediately set on the reels thanks to the robbers. They explode with every spin and reveal a wild underneath. For the next round, they move to a new location on the reels and explode again, revealing more wilds. This feature is part of every free spin in the bonus round.
